2008 Graduation Ceremonies
ACCA UK's Graduation Ceremonies 2008
This 2008 series of graduation ceremonies proved very popular with a total of 1158 affiliates and 2127 guests.
In Leeds 135 affiliates listened to an informative address from Martin Harris, Group Chief Accountant, Drax Power, before receiving their certificates from ACCA Vice President Brendan Murtagh.
The two ceremonies held at the Barbican London saw the 664 affiliates receive their certificates from ACCA Deputy President Mark Gold in front of a combined total of 1200 guests.
In Birmingham, Company Secretary at Punch Taverns, Neil Preston gave an exciting keynote address to 175 affiliates and their guests before affiliates received their certificates from the former President and Finance Director of the University of Birmingham Gill Ball.
Cardiff's 110 affiliates enjoyed a celebratory evening at Cardiff City Hall where presented certificates by Mark Gold, ACCA Deputy President, after the keynote address given by Kevin Chidwick, Finance Director of Admiral Group Plc.
Mark Gold, ACCA Deputy President welcomed and congratulated the 74 affiliates to the Edinburgh ceremony held at the Caledonian Hilton. The keynote speaker was Graham Reid, Finance Director at CALA Management Ltd.
A total of twelve prize-winners attended the 2008 series of graduation ceremonies to celebrate their achievements in obtaining the highest marks in their respective papers at the December 2007 and June 2008 examinations.
The Leeds, London, Birmingham and Edinburgh ceremonies were sponsored by Hays Accountancy & Finance and Accountancy Now sponsored the Cardiff Ceremony.
